Rudolph Giuliani, the well-known Trump lawyer and former mayor of New York City, was sued by Dominion Voting Systems on January 25.

The lawsuit was filed in the Federal District Court in Washington D.C. by Dominion Voting Systems, the firm that supplies millions of voting machines, tabulators, plus hardware and software across the nation.

Dominion Voting Systems is the second-largest US vendor among three vendors who own 88 percent of the country's voting systems.

The 107-page lawsuit seeks damages of over $1.3 billion and charges Giuliani with repeatedly spreading lies via Twitter, other social media, in-person at Trump rallies, and through media appearances.

Without any proof, Giuliani, President Donald Trump, and many conservative media outlets claimed the election was “rigged” and wide-spread voting fraud “stole” Trump's election.

Over two months immediately following the election, Giuliani appeared in court sixty times and was never successful due to lacking evidence.

Millions of Americans believed the Trump and Giuliani disinformation that laid the foundation for the violent Capitol Hill riot that immediately followed a Trump rally blocks away and left five people dead.

In the lawsuit, the firm accused Giuliani of lying and spreading a “viral disinformation campaign against Dominion.” In an interview on CNN on January 26, Dominion Attorney Tom Clare said his employees received numerous death threats. Their company was disrupted due to the disinformation spread about the voting systems and machines being rigged.

“People believed this lie…and were motivated to take action in the real world,” he said.

As seen and heard in numerous social media and television interviews, Giuliani spread lies about Dominion Voting System and attacked two Venezuelan owners of the firm, connecting them to Antifa and accusing them of being “communists."

“Dominion is a radical left company,” said Giuliani, seen on TV, at a rally, and on social media. “The company counting our votes with control of our votes is owned by two Venezuelans who are allies of Chavez. One of the experts who has examined these crooked Dominion machines has absolutely what he believes is conclusive proof that in the last 10%, 15 % of vote counted, the votes were deliberately changed.”

Now, the evidence against Giuliani will be played out in federal court, with his own words working against him.

Simultaneously, Dominion is considering media outlets and major Fox television hosts for lawsuits.

When asked on television if they would be suing former President Trump, Clare said they are “not ruling anybody out” for future lawsuits.

Trump also spread disinformation about Dominion Voting Systems numerous times, on social media, in rallies, and on television.

In one Fox interview, Trump said, “Dominion, nobody even knows who owns it. These machines are controlling our country. It was a rigged election. It was a sham and a shame.”

Dominion is investigating Fox News, OAN, NewsMax, Epoch Times, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News hosts Maria Bartiromo, Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, and more.

Lawyers for Dominion said the lies were “Big lies” and did significant damage to their firm and employees, some of whom received threats.

In the lawsuit, the attorneys stated, ”Just as Giuliani and his allies intended, the Big Lie went viral on social media as people tweeted, retweeted, and raged that Dominion had stolen their votes. While some lies -- little lies -- flare up on social media and die with the next news cycle, the Big Lie was different. The harm to Dominion's business and reputation is unprecedented and irreparable because of how fervently millions of people believe it.”

A similar lawsuit was filed against attorney Sydney Powell, who also spread lies that the presidential election had been rigged.

With legal discovery now in play, Dominion may unearth more evidence that may show a coordinated attack based upon lies, which will create a much larger lawsuit with many more targets.
