Influencer Clavicular Charged With Rape, Accused of Drugging 17-Year-Old

Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular, whose legal name is Braden Peters, is facing rape and drugging-related charges in Massachusetts after a 17-year-old girl told police he gave her vodka during a livestream at his family’s Cape Cod home before allegedly assaulting her.

Peters, 20, is charged with rape, administering a substance for sexual intercourse, and providing alcohol to someone under 21. The alleged offenses occurred May 23, 2025, in Chatham.

Court records show a clerk-magistrate found probable cause on all three charges on Sept. 4. A criminal complaint and summons were issued four days later, and Peters is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 14 in Orleans District Court. He has not been arrested and is not currently in custody.

According to a police report filed with the court, the teenager said she met Peters through Instagram and was later paid to appear in videos about “looksmaxxing,” the online practice of trying to maximize physical attractiveness through beauty routines and, in some cases, extreme body-modification techniques.

She told investigators that Peters knew she was 17 but instructed her to tell viewers she was 18. During a livestream at his family’s home, she alleged that he also told her to describe the vodka he gave her as water.

The girl said she consumed the equivalent of two or three shots and became increasingly intoxicated. An officer who reviewed footage from the livestream described a clip in which she told Peters she was very drunk before the two kissed, according to the police report.

After the livestream ended, she alleged that she fell asleep and later awoke while Peters was having sex with her. Investigators wrote that she lacked the ability to consent.

One of Peters’ attorneys, Jeff Neiman, has said his client is innocent. A representative for Peters separately said he had not been physically served with the charges, though the court docket shows the criminal complaint and summons were issued Sept. 8.

A conviction could carry substantial prison time. Massachusetts law allows a sentence of up to 20 years on the rape charge. The separate offense involving administration of a substance for sexual intercourse carries a potential life sentence or a prison term of at least 10 years.

Peters has built a large online following through content centered on “looksmaxxing.” His videos have included cosmetic injections and “bone smashing,” a practice in which people repeatedly strike facial bones in an effort to alter their appearance, across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and the livestreaming service Kick.

The same alleged Cape Cod encounter is also described in a separate civil lawsuit filed in Florida earlier this year. An amended complaint alleges that Peters had nonconsensual sex with the plaintiff while she was intoxicated and later injected her face with Aqualyx, a fat-dissolving substance, during a livestream without her consent.

Peters’ attorneys have denied the civil allegations and argued that the sexual encounter was consensual. They have also sought dismissal of portions of that case.

The Massachusetts prosecution and Florida lawsuit remain separate proceedings. Prosecutors must prove the criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt, while the civil claims are decided under a lower standard of proof.

Peters is scheduled to make his first court appearance on the Massachusetts charges at his Oct. 14 arraignment.
