Second Housekeeper Files Lawsuit Against Kylie Jenner Alleging Workplace Abuse and Retaliation
Kylie Jenner is facing a second lawsuit from a former housekeeper who alleges that her employment was marked by harassment, retaliation, and labor violations, intensifying scrutiny over the working conditions within the reality star’s household operations.
The complaint, filed by Juana Delgado Soto, outlines a series of allegations stemming from her employment beginning in 2019. Delgado Soto claims that while working for Jenner, she was routinely denied legally mandated meal and rest breaks and did not receive appropriate compensation for overtime, sick leave, or holidays. According to the filing, the working environment became increasingly difficult, with demands she describes as excessive and unsustainable.
Central to the lawsuit are allegations of verbal mistreatment by a supervisor, who is accused of mocking Delgado Soto’s English proficiency and referring to her in derogatory terms. The complaint states that after raising concerns about her treatment, Delgado Soto faced retaliation, including a reduction in her hourly wage and an increase in workload. She alleges that her pay was lowered from approximately $41 per hour to $35 following her complaints.
The lawsuit also details several personal incidents that Delgado Soto says highlight the alleged lack of accommodation and empathy from her supervisors. She claims she was unable to attend her own surprise birthday gathering due to work demands and felt pressured to return to work immediately after the death of her brother. In the legal filing, she details that her initial request to attend his funeral was denied pending documentation, which she was asked to provide.
In what the complaint describes as a final attempt to seek help, Delgado Soto allegedly left a handwritten note addressed to Jenner. The note was placed on a massage table before a scheduled appointment for Jenner, where Delgado Soto reportedly expressed distress over her treatment and suggested that Jenner might not be aware of the situation. It remains unclear whether Jenner ever received or read the note.
The following day, Delgado Soto claims she was warned not to contact Jenner directly again and was threatened with termination. Shortly after, she sought medical attention at an emergency room, where she was reportedly advised to take time off due to stress-related symptoms. The lawsuit alleges that her request for sick leave was denied, and she was reminded of a nondisclosure agreement she had signed as part of her employment.
Upon returning to work, Delgado Soto says additional restrictions were imposed, including instructions not to speak to or make eye contact with Jenner and to leave any room if Jenner entered. The complaint also includes claims that she was required to document discarded food to prove she was not taking leftovers and that she was assigned cleaning duties at another residence connected to Jenner’s personal life.
Delgado Soto ultimately informed her supervisor via text message that she was experiencing severe anxiety and sleep disruption. According to the lawsuit, the response she received focused on whether she intended to return to work, which she interprets as a termination of her employment. She now alleges ongoing emotional distress resulting from her experience.
The lawsuit names multiple defendants, including Jenner, her company, Kylie Jenner Inc., a supervising employee, and third-party staffing agencies involved in the hiring process. Delgado Soto is seeking damages for lost wages, emotional harm, and alleged violations of labor laws, including claims of whistleblower retaliation and discrimination.
The filing follows a similar lawsuit brought earlier by another former housekeeper, Angelica Hernandez Vasquez, who also alleges mistreatment during her employment at Jenner’s residence. Hernandez Vasquez claims she experienced degrading treatment from supervisors and was subjected to labor violations, including a lack of proper breaks and wrongful termination.
Representatives for Jenner have not publicly responded to the claims.
