Travis Scott is being sued by three yacht crew members who claim the rapper became violent and threatening during a chartered boat trip off the coast of Miami two years ago. The civil suit, filed on Saturday, comes roughly two years after Scott's arrest stemming from the same incident, though he was never criminally charged.

According to the complaint, boat captain Adrian Frometa, along with charter managers John Steve Holguin and Mirnesa Hasanovic, are pursuing assault-related claims against Scott, whose legal name is Jacques Webster.

Court documents allege that on June 19, 2024, Scott chartered a 105-foot yacht called Carpe Diem for a cruise along the Miami coastline, accompanied by three female guests. Frometa, initially the only crew member aboard, claims Scott's mood shifted as the night progressed and he grew increasingly intoxicated and hostile.

Frometa says he made the call to end the charter early because of Scott's escalating behavior, but that Scott balked at leaving the boat once it returned to the marina. The lawsuit describes a sudden physical confrontation, alleging Scott shoved the captain from behind before striking him in the neck and chest area. The complaint further alleges that Scott then began shouting at Frometa and issuing repeated threats against his life.

Frometa says he radioed for backup, and his bosses, Hasanovic and Holguin, arrived at the scene roughly ten minutes later. The situation reportedly escalated further at that point, with Holguin claiming he was knocked down during a subsequent physical altercation. Per the lawsuit, Hasanovic and Holguin then retreated into the yacht's interior cabin, holding a glass door shut from the inside while Scott allegedly continued yelling threats and tried to force his way in.

Law enforcement eventually arrived and took control of the situation, arresting Scott on the scene. He was booked on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, though prosecutors ultimately declined to pursue criminal charges. In the aftermath, Scott shared his mug shot publicly on social media and went a step further by selling merchandise featuring the photo. The plaintiffs argue that decision trivialized what happened and compounded the harm they say they suffered.

The three crew members allege they experienced both physical injuries and lasting emotional distress as a result of the encounter. Their lawsuit lists multiple causes of action, including assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and seeks unspecified monetary damages from Scott to cover those claims.

The case adds to a string of legal and public controversies that have followed the rapper in recent years, though this marks one of the more direct civil actions taken by individuals who say they were personally harmed during an encounter with him.

It remains to be seen how Scott's legal team will respond to the specific allegations laid out in the complaint, or whether the case will proceed toward trial or settlement in the months ahead.
