Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, has settled a lawsuit brought by former assistant Lauren Pisciotta, who accused him of sexual harassment, sexual assault, sex trafficking and wrongful termination.
A filing submitted Tuesday in Los Angeles court states that the parties reached an unconditional settlement resolving the case. The agreement was finalized July 23, and Pisciotta must request dismissal within 45 days. Its financial and other terms were not disclosed.
Pisciotta worked for Ye from 2021 to 2023, beginning in an A&R role on his album “Donda.” She later became his personal assistant and served as chief of staff for several business ventures, including Yeezy.
She first sued in June 2024, alleging sexual harassment, breach of contract and wrongful termination. The complaint accused Ye of repeatedly propositioning her, sending sexually explicit messages and engaging in sexual conduct in her presence without her consent.
Later amendments added claims of sexual battery, stalking, false imprisonment and sex trafficking. Pisciotta alleged that Ye repeatedly groped her, attempted to penetrate her without consent and forced her to perform a sexual act.
Her filings also accused Ye of using promises of career advancement and threats of humiliation, harassment, termination or violence to pressure her into complying with his demands. Another amendment alleged that he drugged and sexually assaulted her during a recording session at a studio associated with Sean Combs.
Ye denied the allegations. His representatives previously accused Pisciotta of attempting to blackmail and extort him after he rejected her advances.
They also claimed she was fired because she was unqualified, sought a $4 million annual salary and engaged in inappropriate conduct. The competing allegations were not decided at trial before the settlement was reached.
Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali, confirmed that the matter had been resolved. Ye’s representatives did not comment on the settlement.
Pisciotta is expected to seek dismissal within the period set by the agreement. No admission of wrongdoing or payment amount was disclosed in the available court filing.
